At NYTDC, we are dedicated to building a Tamil community center in Staten Island. A welcoming hub for learning, cultural programs, and community connection. Through educational initiatives, mentorship, and outreach, we empower individuals and families while strengthening the bonds that make our community thrive.
NYTDC committee members, supporters, and community volunteers partnered with Feeding With TLC, Inc. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Staten Island, volunteering from 10 AM to 1 PM at the church’s soup kitchen. Together, we helped prepare and serve hot, nutritious meals to neighbors in need and donated clothing to anyone who visited that day. The experience created a welcoming and inclusive space where people of all ages, backgrounds, and incomes felt supported, cared for, and connected. It was a meaningful and truly rewarding opportunity to give back and strengthen our Staten Island community.
